Job Description The Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for providing analysis and support in the forecasting process and inventory planning activities to drive operational improvements. Incorporating business intelligence and information gathered from sales, new product development, marketing, and operations, the Supply Chain Analyst will work collaboratively to improve forecast accuracy, improve inventory efficiencies and support overall Supply Chain improvement
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and present reports, charts, and supporting analysis detailing relative factors to help inform decision-making.
Develop and provide summary and detailed inventory analysis reports to management.
Collaborate with the Planning, Sales and Marketing and Operations teams to conduct root cause analysis and identify improvement actions to improve accuracy and efficiency issues.
Prepare ad hoc reports for Materials, Planning, Sales and Marketing and others in management.
Examine the forecasting and inventory analysis methodologies to find ways of improving predictive accuracy.
Identify ways to automate and simplify key supply chain activities using systems and other analytical tools.
Work with appropriate personnel to maintain and improve data integrity.
Analyze supply chain performance in conjunction with systems/expectations to improve overall supply chain metrics.
Participate in cross-functional projects to create improvement in supply chain services /efficiencies.
Perform other related duties and handle other projects as required.
Work in accordance with all company policies and procedures regarding employment, safety, quality, product safety and legality, security, and regulatory compliance as applicable.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management, Finance, or similar field
A minimum of 4 years of experience in a Supply Chain capacity
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Thorough understanding of integrated supply chain processes
Analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to analyze data and develop solutions objectively
Able to work independently and within a team environment; good collaboration skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, with expertise in Excel and Access
Knowledge of SAP a significant plus; has ability to generate reports from ERP systems
Good verbal and written communication skills
