Job LocationThe SVP Howard Regional Physician Executive position is located in Kokomo, IN.Job DutiesThe Senior Vice President (SVP) Regional Physician Executive is a physician executive leadership role in the Physician Enterprise and serves as a leadership dyad with a Hospital President. As a key member of the Physician Enterprise, the SVP, Regional Physician Executive provides key input into the implementation of the network’s clinical strategies, as related to The Way We Improve. This physician executive reports to the Chief Medical Officer. The team of regional physician executives along with the Chief Medical Officer is responsible for translating enterprise clinical strategies into front line operations within each region. The Physician must be employed by Community Health Network in this role. This is a .5 to 1.0 FTE position depending on clinical practice and the needs of the position.ExperienceMinimum of five (5) years of experience in a medical director or other medical administrative role. Minimum of ten (10) years as a practicing physician. Education MD or DO degree required. Undergraduate or graduate degree, or other advanced certification in business, health care administration or leadership is preferred.LicenseMD or DO with current board certification and Indiana license or the ability to obtain an Indiana license.   • Ability to drive change by assisting physicians and administration in managing the adaptive change necessary to address market dynamics.

  • Ability to foster alignment and liaison function between administration and physicians (employed and independent).

  • Ability to assure physician voice is heard and understood in decision making.

  • Ability to engage all physicians and assures physicians understand the “why” of decisions.

  • Ability to effectively work with CPN’s SVP Physician Executives of Primary and Specialty Care, Department Medical Directors, elected Medical Staff leadership and Administration.

  • Ability to seek out, initiate, support and manage needed change even in the face of opposition, and engage others in change.

  • Ability to effectively “bridge” clinical, strategic and business imperatives.

  • Ability to partner with Knowledge Management to obtain and analyze date for clinical transformation.

  • Actively practicing clinician.
